Dillon edges ahead as calculators do the talking and parkland tales are settled by a decimal point.
In the singles stableford at Chalgrave Manor, John Dillon claimed victory on countback after tying on 40 points with Aaron Gentle and John Roddy. The calculators were out, the pencils were stubbed, and John Dillon’s steady scoring saw the prizes land decisively.
John Dillon, Aaron Gentle, and John Roddy all posted a formidable 40 points, sending organisers scrambling for the sacred countback scrolls. Fate (and the last six holes) favoured Dillon, who emerged as the round’s sovereign. Aaron Gentle mustered the best gross, but on the all-important stableford, Dillon stood tallest. No tiebreak arm wrestling required; just mathematical prowess and a very steady hand to sign the card.

Aaron Gentle dialled it in at five, undeterred by treacherous slopes and wayward putt possibilities.
Aaron Gentle took home nearest-the-pin honours at Chalgrave’s infamous fifth, parking a tee shot just 5 feet away on this slippery “Scoring Chance” with a shallow, sloping green.
Chris tiptoed past water and mounds on 7, landing just 8 feet from pin glory.
Nearest Pin - Hole 7 swung decisively in Chris’s favour, as a precision effort of 8 feet left rivals gazing enviously across the mounds and water of Chalgrave Manor’s trickiest par 3.
Aaron Grey conquered the lake and left just 9 feet between glory and gravity.
Aaron Grey secured Nearest Pin honours on Hole 10, bravely sending their tee shot across water to land just 9 feet from the cup on Chalgrave Manor’s signature par 3.
Drew navigated elevation, deception, and sand to lodge a shot in ten-foot territory at thirteen.
Drew claimed nearest pin champ status on the uphill thirteenth, brushing off optical illusions and bunkers to come to rest a measured 10-feet from the flag.
Aaron Gentle’s 346-yard drive made Hole 9 look almost inviting. Almost.
The Longest Drive challenge saw Aaron Gentle unleash a thunderbolt 346-yard effort on the fiendish par-5 ninth—leaving outfielders and fellow competitors in the dust.
